Your family's privacy
Privacy Policy
Last updated June 16, 2026
Chorzle keeps your family's information in one secure place and uses it for one thing: running Chorzle for you. We don't show ads, we never sell your data, and no third-party tracker ever touches your family's data once you sign in. (Our public marketing pages use privacy-minded analytics; more on that below.) This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, where it lives, who helps us run the service, and the control you have over all of it.
The short version
Your family's chores, rewards, points, profiles, and any photos you add live in Chorzle's own secure database, tied to the account you sign in with. We can access that data to run the service and to help you when you ask, but we never sell it, never show ads, and never hand it to advertisers. No third-party tracker runs on the signed-in app, so none of them ever sees your family's data. You can export or delete your family's data whenever you want.
Your account and your data
Chorzle runs in your browser. You sign in with an account, and your whole family shares one synced family space. The chores, tasks, rewards, points, family member profiles, and any photos your family adds are stored in our secure database. Your data travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and is encrypted at rest by our database provider.
We use that data to operate Chorzle, keep your family in sync, and support you when you reach out. We don't use it for advertising, and no third-party analytics or ad tracker runs inside the signed-in app.
Who helps us run Chorzle
Chorzle relies on a few trusted service providers, and your data passes through them only so the app works. Our database, sign-in, and file storage (including any chore-proof photos) are handled by Supabase. Vercel hosts the app and this website. Email, your sign-in link and any digests you turn on, is delivered by Resend. Google provides Tag Manager and Analytics, which run on our public marketing pages and signed-out pages so we can understand how people find and try Chorzle; they do not run inside the signed-in app. Paid plans aren't switched on during the beta; when they are, Stripe will join this list and handle billing.
Each provider handles your data under its own privacy and security terms, and only to deliver its part of the service. We don't use any of them to advertise to you, and we never sell your data.
This website
When you visit chorzle.com, Vercel (our host) keeps standard, short-lived server logs, such as the IP address making a request and the page requested, to keep the site running and secure. We don't use these logs to build a profile of you, and we don't run advertising on this site.
We use Vercel Web Analytics, our host's built-in, first-party analytics, so we can see which pages and Buzz posts are useful and which aren't. It uses no cookies and doesn't store anything that identifies you: page-view counts, top pages, devices, and country-level location are all it sees.
We also use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics on our public marketing pages and the signed-out parts of the app, so we can understand how people discover and try Chorzle, which pages help and which don't. These may set cookies and share usage data with Google as our analytics provider. We use them only to improve Chorzle, never to show you ads, and we never sell your data. Google Tag Manager does not load once you sign in, so it never runs on your family's data. You can opt out of Google Analytics with your browser settings or Google's opt-out browser add-on.
The early beta
Chorzle is in early beta. If you ask us to let you know when you can get in, we store the email address you type and the page you typed it on, and we send you one confirmation. We never sell or share the addresses, there's no newsletter, and you can ask us to remove yours at any time by emailing us.
Subscriptions and payments
During the beta, Chorzle Plus billing isn't switched on yet, so there's nothing to pay. When it goes live, Chorzle Plus is billed through secure web checkout: a payment processor handles your card details under its own terms, and we never see your full card number. You can manage or cancel your subscription from your account at any time.
Children
Chorzle is a family app, set up and run by a parent or guardian. Children use Chorzle within a family their parent created, and we handle a child's information with the same care as everyone else's: we use it only to run Chorzle, we never sell it, and we never use it for advertising. The analytics tools described above run only on our public, logged-out pages, never on the signed-in family app, so they don't touch a child's information. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children through the website.
Seeing or removing your data
You're in control of your family's data. From your account settings you can export it, or delete your family, which removes it from our database. You can also email us and we'll help you do either one.
How long we keep it
We keep your family's data for as long as your family is active. There's no timer running it out, and we don't delete a family just because it's gone quiet. It waits for you.
When you delete your family, it's removed from our database immediately and for good, with no grace period and no leftover copy, and any chore-proof photos go with it. Beta waitlist emails are different: we keep yours only until we launch or until you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Meaningful changes will be made clear.
